Parks and Recreation Ontario, (PRO) offers two province-wide student awards during its annual educational forum to students in their graduating year. Centennial College Recreation and Leisure Services graduates have captured these prestigious awards for nine consecutive years (2007 to 2015)

Established by the 2011 graduating class, the Sandy Foster Student Award of Merit is awarded annually to one student entering the second year of the Recreation and Leisure Services Program at Centennial College. This award recognizes a student who consistently demonstrates a commitment to his / her studies and a passion for recreation and carries a $2,000.00 cash value.

Alumni of Distinction Award is presented to a Centennial College graduate who has taken what they learned from Centennial and applied it to their carreer. Each year one alumni is choosen from the School of Advancement, School of Busines, School of Community and Health Studies, School of Engineering Technology and Applied Scienc, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culture, School of Transportation, School of Communications, Media and Design and International Alumn. This year (2015) Alex Malmsten was awarded for the School of Community and Health Studies. He was a former Recreation and Leisure student who graduated in 2011.
